Anova donates to Fiji Red Cross for recovery after Cyclone Winston

Anova made a donation to the Fiji Red Cross to help recover the Fiji Islands from the impact of Cyclone Winston. With our strong connection to the Fiji Islands and the partnerships we have built for our MSC Albacore tuna, we hope to contribute to the recovery of the Fiji Islands.

Fiji was hit by Winston mid February, which was reported as 'the strongest tropical cyclone on record to hit Fiji'. The cyclone left a trail of destruction across Fiji, with tens of thousands of  homes destroyed and many low lying areas flooded. The Fiji Red Cross has 250 staff and volunteers distributing relief items such as blankets, tarpaulins, tools, and clothing. The main focus has been on providing emergency shelter materials and psychosocial support to survivors, as well as clean water, sanitation and non-food relief items.
